Before Nexus, Carl advised and founded ventures in tech, finance, and digital transformation, gaining insights into scaling breakthrough ideas. Nexus invests in teams solving core problems in computing, infrastructure, and automation, with a focus on AI and quantum systems.
A champion for diversity, Carl mentors immigrant founders and supports sustainable innovation. His leadership combines global perspective, analytical rigor, and long-term partnerships with visionary builders.

Gedeon Dieudonne Jr.
General Partner
Gedeon is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of leadership in public service and organizational management. As a member of Nexus Ventures, a Queens-based venture capital firm, he brings expertise in operations, finance, and strategic planning to startup investments.
His experience in law enforcement involved managing large-scale operations, personnel deployments, and multimillion-dollar budgets, skills that help him identify and advise high-potential startups. Additionally, Gedeon has expertise in real estate, enhancing his understanding of financial modeling and investment strategy.
At Nexus Ventures, we support startups in sectors like securities, AI, logistics, and financial services, focusing on entrepreneurs aged 19-50 with advisory, planning, portfolio management, and accounting services.

Jean René Destin
General Partner
Jean René Destin brings a deep operational lens to Nexus Ventures, where he leads technical due diligence across AI, cybersecurity, telecommunications, and quantum computing investments. With over two decades of experience building and scaling complex network architectures, Jean René helps early-stage companies turn breakthrough technologies into resilient, scalable infrastructure.
Prior to joining Nexus, he was a senior executive in the telecommunications industry, leading cross-functional teams in design, traffic engineering, and service deployment. He is also the founder of Link2Four, LLC, a telecom consulting services company that delivers infrastructure and talent solutions for next-generation networks.
Known for his hands-on approach, Jean René bridges the gap between vision and execution, diving deep into systems, stress-testing assumptions, and guiding founders in building strong technical foundations. He is also passionate about inclusive innovation, mentoring underrepresented founders, and advising in emerging markets.
Jean René holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from The City College of New York and a Master of Science in Telecommunications and Information Management from NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
Gregory Pascal
General Partner
Gregory Pascal is the Managing Partner of Nexus Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on backing bold founders building high-impact, scalable solutions in underserved markets. With over 20 years of experience across finance, infrastructure, and public affairs, Gregory brings a deep, cross-sector understanding to early-stage investing.
Before Nexus Ventures, Gregory spent over a decade in the U.S. financial industry, specializing in capital markets and structured finance. He then transitioned into the public sector, managing infrastructure projects and advising on strategic planning and policy.
Gregory holds a master’s degree in Public Affairs from Sciences Po Paris and a bachelor’s in Business Administration from Pace University. At Nexus Ventures, he focuses on building a platform that invests in innovation and helps shape it.

Gonzalez Fanord
General Partner
Gonzalez Fanord is a business leader with 20+ years of experience in enterprise transformation, telecommunications, and IT infrastructure. As an executive at Nexus Ventures, he leads operational diligence and portfolio optimization in AI, quantum computing, and deep tech.
He also serves as President of JLM & S Enterprises, advising on mergers, acquisitions, and post-integration execution. Previously, Gonzalez held leadership roles at Dataprise Inc. and CenturyLink/Savvis, managing multi-million-dollar portfolios and optimizing service delivery.
A passionate advocate for AI and quantum computing, Gonzalez is known for building high-performing teams and executing strategy across global stakeholders. He holds a BA in Psychology, Education, and Technology, with certifications in ITIL, ITSM, and PMP.

Smith Pierre

Smith is a seasoned Business Technology Professional with over a decade of experience in the automotive industry. He blends technical expertise, operational leadership, and hands-on industry knowledge, optimizing processes, safety, and performance. Holding degrees in Applied Sciences, Smith has also mentored automotive students for over a decade as an Adjunct Professor.
He has led cross-functional teams, implemented innovative solutions, and driven efficiency in fleet management, safety compliance, and process improvement. Smith’s passion lies in bridging technology with field operations.
As an executive at Nexus Ventures, the venture capital arm of Nexus Innovations Capital, Smith is known for his problem-solving skills and commitment to continuous improvement. He also serves as a mentor for Automotive Y.E.S. (Youth Educational Systems).
